THE CROSS , ALMENARA

THE HISTORY

The cross is a Gothic-style cross that was built in the 14th, 15th or 16th centuries.
They put it in Almenara in the time of King James. From the Almenara period we only
have one photograph in which it was almost complete, but the upper part of the crucifer is
missing. In the Spanish Civil War it was demolished and replaced by an iron cross. It has
now been replaced by an original replica. The cross serves to announce to people that there
is a village. When I was little, my friends and I would sit around it and on its steps.

DESCRIPTION

It is a monument with a Gothic cross that consists of three parts: the stairs, the column and
the cross. It is made of stone. In front, there is a path, on both sides there is grass (park)
and behind there is a road. I love the crossover.
